Watersports are primarily based from Cleavel Point our private spit of land on the south side of Poole Harbour. We also have access to other lakes around the area according to the needs of the programme.

Programmes can involve team journeys across the harbour by Big Canoe, Bridge and raft building problem solving tasks, as well as paired and individual canoe and kayak experiences.

Ribs can be incorporated for dramatic beginnings and fast thrilling endings. Being whisked off to a harbour side restaurant can be the icing on the cake at the end of an event.

Situated in the heart of the Purbeck Heath Nature Reserve we also use Cleavel point as a stunning location for team tasks, group lunches and a wild camping experience.

There are more activities at the high and low ropes course than can be completed by a group in a couple of days. This gives us choice to select the best activities for your programme and enables us to work with large groups of over 100 people. Situated within an atmospheric woodland we benefit from shade in summer and shelter in winter.

The activities can be delivered as part of development programmes or with more emphasis on fun and shared experience. We involve the group with safety management so they are hands on helping each other to achieve.

Team and Leadership tasks require problem solving, coordination, planning, trust and some physical hands on teamwork. These tasks are based at ground level and through a range of heights using safety ropes.

Personal challenge tasks are designed to progressively challenge people at height and benefit from the support of a surrounding team. Most of the tasks are achievable without physical strength, the challenge is more in our heads.

As with all our activities, our ethos is Challenge by Choice which enables each person to choose their level of stretch. Our experience is that people often surprise themselves with the level of challenge they successfully achieve.

Climbing and abseiling on the limestone sea cliffs of the Jurassic coast is an experience in itself. We like to immerse groups fully into the experience so that they understand and are part of the safety management, actively looking after other members of the group on the cliff face.

A wide range of practical problem solving tasks for team and leadership development can selected to get the best out of your programme. Some are hands on working together team tasks, others require more creativity and problem solving skills to achieve.

Lighting fires with primitive techniques, cooking simple food over coals and even experiencing sleeping outdoors in the woods. Bushcraft skills and sitting around a fire provides an opportunity for quality unrushed time together. Sometimes time in a new environment is what teams need the most for relationship building.

We use orienteering either on foot or by bicycle to access some of the countryside around us. If we want to do more than explore the area, days can involve the group navigating to complete tasks in remote locations and could even extend across Poole Harbour, assuming that they navigate to the Big Canoes first!

Cycling within the Purbeck Heath National Nature Reserve is a great way to explore the beautiful area. Either as a guided orienteering challenge or part of a Project Purbeck Team Development activity, cycling can really add adventure to a programme with us.

Bikes offer the ability to link up activity location such as Cleavel Point or our Ropes Course at Burnbake. They can also be used to travel between Team Tasks spread across the heathland, covering more ground within a day without having to pile into mini buses and coaches.

Routes can be tailored to your group’s abilities, incorporating largely flat back lanes and farm tracks or venturing across sand and gravel paths. We use modern hard tail mountain bikes with front suspension and e-bikes are available, to ensure everyone’s success on the planned route. If your team are up for it, we can include some challenging hills or exciting descents, it’s all on our doorstep.

The target sports of archery and air rifle shooting can be incorporated into fun, competitive and developmental programmes. It is often surprising who emerges from the group with their eye on the target.
