Brenscombe Outdoor Centre has capacity for groups of up to around 172+ in number to stay on site in various accommodation packages. Residential stays at Brenscombe provide fantastic opportunities to explore the Purbecks whilst participating in our range of quality outdoor activities.
The centre is a short drive away from local towns and amenities, far enough to feel remote yet close enough for teachers to pop out for something if need be.
All our residentials can be tailored to your requirements to ensure you achieve the right balance and level of activity for your group. Whether you are looking for a multi-activity experience or a programme with an emphasis on team working or personal development we can work with you to design the ideal residential.
As well as programmes of individual activities, our residentials can include whole days out with a combination of activities and even overnight camps in remote places. The range of activities we offer means that your group can have a full, diverse and stimulating stay at Brenscombe Outdoor Centre. See our sample programmes.
The accommodation for our residential programmes at our centre is either sleeping indoors in the Purbeck Stone Farmhouse and our range of converted outbuildings or in the grounds of centre camping under canvas in bell tents. Some programmes, subject to numbers, may prefer to utilise our unique remote camping area on the edge of Poole harbour.
We pride ourselves on our hospitality whilst you are with us and our residentials are normally run as fully catered programmes. We provide excellent meals, using many locally-sourced ingredients. Depending on group numbers we can sometimes offer the option of self-catering using the farmhouse kitchen.
As well as a full programme of activities for the day, we can provide a range of evening activities just to make sure that your group has even more action to wear them out before bedtime!

The centre offers a good range of facilities for residential groups. There is a large room suitable for indoor games/activities. With a stage, this larger space is ideal for performances or an evening disco. This room, along with a number of other smaller rooms is also available to residents to use as a classroom or student common room. Teachers can relax in their own dedicated staff room. Outside we have a two acre games field and a camp fire area.
Brenscombe Outdoor Centre is also ideal for use by language schools. Students can have lessons in our classrooms that can be countered with exciting outdoor activity sessions, excursions and evening activities.
