Whether on foot, by bike or on the water, expeditions are fundamental to the outdoor experience. We can organise expeditions that are carefully planned to allow for developmental and progressive activities or structure a short trip to give the young people the sense of ‘being dropped in the deep end’ and having to cope. All of everyday living, from cooking to going to the loo, becomes a challenge that forces a sense of community and shared experience.
The expedition challenges usually form long-lasting memories that the young people takes home, not forgetting the excitement of travelling under one's own steam through a changing environment. At Brenscombe we are very lucky to have our own spit of land on the shore of Poole Harbour. It is ideal for wilderness camping with both land and water access as well as basic facilities. The perfect location to provide a sense of adventure and the feeling of isolation.
Brenscombe is the best professional activity centre I have visited, with beautiful surrounding countryside and fantastic outdoor activities, friendly, highly trained staff all ways willing to go the extra mile.
Very supportive staff, who are very adaptable to the needs of the group.
